Lisa's Random Shite
Lookie here.....a real post from me. :) So, last Saturday night was my friend Lindsey's bachelorette party.  It was really a great time. We had a party bus that drove us around everywhere. We statrted off at Salty Senorita (good thing.....we ate there which helped us all feel better later). It was alot of fun there, but we left  and  went to Giligan's. I don't think any of us realized how small that place was....well, it was raining that night, so we couldn't make use of the patio, so that made it seem smaller. We got bored there pretty quickly. So, we had the bus pick up up early and take us to Sugar Daddy's. It was kind of dead when we got there, and we were the only ones dancing for a while....but it picked up. I did 2 different, very interesting shots with Lindsey and Carrie there. Yeah.  But, I had to leave early because Chip and I had to get on the road to San Francisco! He picked me up at around midnight, and I slept in the car for about 5 hours. I woke up and took over driving so Chip could sleep then. About 2 hours outside of San Fran, I started having some transmission issues.....weird shifting and stuff....we decided to have it checked out when we got into town. On Monday morning, Chip checked the transmission fluid level, and it looked low, so we bought some to add as soon as we could.  We spent the rest of the day in San Francisco. We had clam chowder in breadbowls on Pier 39 (39, right?), visited Ghirardelli  Square (yes, I bought a lot of chocolate), and took a little driving tour of the city, compliments of  Chip's parent's. On Tuesday, we headed out to spend a few days at Angel Island on his parent's sailboat.  Despite me being drugged up to keep from gettng motion sick, it really was alot of fun. It was the first time I had ever slept overnight on a boat, lol.  I have to say, I was alittle freaked out while we were sailing back on Thursday....the boat was way too "tippy" for me (what's that called?) most of the time, and I felt like I was going to fall off, or we were going to tip over. But, I felt better after Chip's dad explained to me that there is a huge weight on the bottom of the boat  that keeps us from tipping. Phew! :) I am such a wuss. So on Friday, Chip went to put some of that transmission fluid in my car. He checked the fluid level once more before adding some, and discovered the level was fine all along (the car must have been on an incline when he checked before). So, I called the Saturn dealershop back home that I bought the car at, and asked them what I should do (the car is under warranty from them). They told me to take it to a Honda dealership. So, long story short, they told me I need a new transmission, and Saturn is paying for it. Saturn also paid to fly me home on Saturday night, while Chip stays in CA to drive the car back when it's fixed. As of this morning, the dealership still doesn't have their hands on a new tranny (no one stocks them since this kind of car never breaks), but as soon as they get one, hopefully tomorrow now, they'll puyt it in and Chip (and Murphy) can come home. Fun, huh? Oh, on Friday night we went to a coffee shop to see a band that Chip's parent's like alot. They are called Houston Jones (http://www.houstonjones.com/) and they are really good! They are kind of folk/Irish music. It was really fun. That Friday , St. Patrick's Day, was also mine and Chip's 2 year anniversary. Yes, 2 years ago today, I lured him to my apartment with the promise of green beer, which he never got that night. I would hope he still thinks that what he ended up with was better than green beer. :)  http://madeinheaven.livejournal.com/111008.html    ---- The post on the day that started it all. Ok, thats all for now. I am tired.

I so knew this. I like all the things I am not all that good at (or what doesn't come easy to me), and I could care less about the things I am good at (well, except the dance and theater). Oh well.

I have uploaded our New Year's Eve at The Spur in Laveen pics:

Image hosting by Photobucket

Alot of you won't know who the weirdos in these photos are so:

Lindsey - Really drunk blonde.

Derek - Nearly bald guy who loves to pose for the camera, even with random people at a bar that he doesn't know. Lindsey's fiancee.

Carrie - The brunette who got really into the karaoke.

Eric - The non nearly bald guy. He's responsible for all the pics of Derek with strangers. Carrie's husband.

You all should know what Chip and I look like. :)

So after work last night I went up to Alison's and hung out. We made really yummy stir fry! From scratch! I think I may attempt it myself someday. :) She also made this double layer pumpkin pie. I've only had a tiny taste if it so far since it wasn't completely set when I left her house, but it was so insanely good.

Today I need to decide what's the most important for me to get done first I think. The cat box is super smelly, I need to do some laundry, I would like to lay out at the pool for a while, and Alison wants to go to Ikea. Tonight is dinner at Lin's, Real Bar for the Evolocity show,  and then Iguana Mack's since it's within stumbling distance of Wes's house. I don't want to get too stumbly though because I don't want to sleep the day away tomorrow and feel like ass and not get a damn thing accomplished. I think I've just gotten too old for that to be acceptable anymore. Ish.

jodijodijodi , I'm sorry I didn't call you back last night. The stir fry took up alot of time. :) I'll call you today.

Well, I haven't posted in a while. I am back.
I am doing better everyday. Some days though, I have some pretty down moments, but those willl get less and less as time goes on.
It's so weird getting used to the "single" thing. But that also gets easier as time passes. I want to go into a lot more detail, but I'm tired...I'll post more later though.
I am officially going to be back home in MN from the evening of September 15th through the 19th. I SO need this trip.

I had a dream 2 nights ago that we got back together.
Then last night I had a dream that I had moved home because of the breakup and I ended up feeling completely trapped and miserable. That dream was a huge relief to wake up from!

I found my high school crush on Myspace today. Well, it was a mutual crush thing...at least that's what I was always told by my friends. Anyway, this is the guy who I owe my love of Queen to. If he hadn't made me a mix tape in 9th grade with "Another One Bites The Dust", "Bicycle Race", and "Fat Bottomed Girls" on it, I may have never known the awesomeness that is Queen. Good Lord, how horrible would that be? :) He has since gotten out of MN too and now lives in Denver I guess. This definitely wins as the most random thing to happen to me in at least a week and a half. Good to know he's alive though. I have often wondered what happened to that guy.
Ok, going to bed. I haven't sat online past midnight in I don't know how long! It's nice to be back.....I think. :)

Well, if you haven't already heard, Chip and I broke up on Monday. I am, to say the least, devistated. I feel like someone has just ripped the ground out from under me and I am falling. I am now in the middle of the "what the fuck do I do now?" phase. I HATE this feeling of being uprooted and not having a place to call my home for who knows how long now. Wes is kindly letting me stay with him for a while. I am insanely greatful for that, but it still won't be home to me. I just want to die.
I have talked to my family, and I am going to go home for a few days next month. I realy really need that. And it's something to look forward to when the whole world looks so bleak to me right now.
Is anyone going to be looking for a roommate anytime soon? I don't know yet if I can afford a place by myself.

So, Saturday night chipskip persuaded me to head up to The Venue to see this coverband that was there. I now cannot for the life of me remember their name, but theyre from New Orleans, and they rocked. Anyway, I convinced Alison to meet me there, and before you know it, jenniferjayde decided to check it out also with Matt and Marcos. It ended up being a REALLY fun night! cooterman had to work most of the night, but he made sure we all constantly had a drink in our hands. After my third drink, I decided it was time to dance very very badly with chipskip. And boy, did we dance BADLY. It was so much fun though. Chip and I were talking to the lead singer at one point and Chip mentioned that I liked Queen. So the singer told us which Queen songs they covered, and I ended up getting to hear "We Will Rock You" AND "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". They either completely did the songs justice, or I was too drunk to notice if they were bad, lol. Brendan and Kelly even showed up at one point. Where was scandalouskate though?
We were all trying to hook Alison up with one of the guys who works at The Venue named Aaron. They didn't talk to eachother much until they had both had a couple drinks. :)
Chip, Alison, Aaron, me, and another Venue person, Shannon ended up at Denny's after the show, and that's where the drunk really hit most of us. Ew. Alison ended up having to crash on our couch all the way down in Chandler.
We were supposed to go to the river on Sunday. Needless to say, that did not happen.
Sunday we just ran errands and had dinner with cooterman.
We got up at the asscrack on Monday so chipskip could catch his flight out to Alameda to help with parents with their new house some more, and he's there until early Thursday. I have been doing not a hell of alot while being alone so far. I am going to try to get the kitchen and bathrooms cleaned before Chip comes home though. Sounds like a fun week, huh? :)
Hopefully Chip and I are still going to Flagstaff this weekend.I have to sit down now and figure out if we can swing it financially. Yay!

Hope you're having fun with the old ladies in Prescott, mmgrl115!! :)

Well, I haven't posted here in absolutely forever. I really should start posting again becuase I miss it. I read back almost 2 years in my journal yesterday, and oh man, some fun memories. Anyway....

Chip and I have moved into a townhouse by ourselves. We're still in Chandler, a couple miles from where we used to be. Things are good. We (well, him more so than me) are concentrating on getting stuff done around the house right now to make it what we want. I'll post pics afer we are done with the majority of it.

Work is going well. I recently moved to a new desk near the back of the room which I like much better! I was right next to the door to the service dept. before. That sucked.

I have decided that the heat SUCKS. It sucks more than all my previous summers here. I feel like I am getting in some kind of summer rut. I just want to be able to go outside and enjoy it! Chip and I are going to Flagstaff for the 4th Of July weekend, so that will be a little break at least. Oh well, I guess I just have to wait until October.

Lately I have been feeling like I need to get back into some of my old hobbies. I really haven't had anything to do with them since I moved here. Astronomy being the biggest one. I can't believe I have never really done any observing at all since I have moved here. Arizona is one of the best states for astronomy! I think I am going to subscribe to Astronomy Magazine again, and maybe join a local astronomy club.
I also don't read anywhere near as much as I used to. I need to dig out some of the books I have that I have never read.
I think I need something new to take up. Chip and I talked about maybe golfing sometime. I have never golfed. I hope I like it. Who knows? Maybe I'll be really good! And I need to give the rock wall a few more trys I think. It's SO hard, but I know I can get better at it.

Now I just need money for all this stuff!

Reading back in my journal I have noticed that I get in "phases", and these phases seem to all last about a year. Weird. I feel like I am about to enter a new one. A good one I hope. For the last year, I think both Chip and I have been in an non-social phase. I know the majority of you would agree with me! The last year was the "domestic" phase too I think. I want to start getting back out more. And with the official end of the era of "The Apartment", I think some of us might have a tendency to drift apart. I think all of us should set up one night a month and go to Ra or Rock Bottom or The Vine. I miss those places! What do you all think?

I hope everyone is good in LJ land.

Congrats to Kristy!!!!!!! :)

Congratulations! You're 113 proof, with specific scores in beer (20) , wine (83), and liquor (78).

Screw all that namby-pamby chick stuff, you're going straight for the
bottle and a shot glass! It'll take more than a few shots of Wild
Turkey or 99 Bananas before you start seeing pink elephants. You know
how to handle your alcohol, and yourself at parties.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 28% on proof
You scored higher than 82% on beer index
You scored higher than 88% on wine index

I know not one of you will care about this one bit (ok, mnlawgirl and mmgrl115 might care a little), but I just have to say:

I have found a Queen internet radio station.

Go here if you care.

Right hand side near the bottom.

AND....the remaining members of Queen will possibly be touring the US in the fall.

Holy crap.

Ok, I'm done I think.
